Why Do We Lose Water Weight First?

If you’re looking for a way to boost your self-image, ditch the scale and use the bathrooms at work instead. While we may all love a good squeeze session on the toilet, those few pounds on the bathroom scale may not necessarily represent how we really look.

The reality is, most of us don’t maintain a constant appearance. We spend most of our time in daily life eating and drinking, going to the toilet, and engaging with the world around us. In order to maintain a healthy weight, we have to keep in mind that we’re not solely dependent on the food we eat, but there are other factors too.

Drink Plenty Of Water

If you’re really wanting to lose weight, the first thing you should do is drink more water. You’re going to be dehydrated and suffer from hunger pangs. If you drink at least eight glasses of water each day, you’ll start losing weight immediately. You may also notice increased mental clarity too which can be a great boost for productivity. If you keep these improvements up, you’ll be able to ditch the dieting and focus on living your life.

Exercise

The next step to shed those unwanted pounds is going to be a lot of exercise. You’re going to want to do something that makes you sweat and that you enjoy. If you’ve got a gym membership, use it. If not, then get a bike and ride regularly. You’ll start shedding those few extra pounds right away and it’ll give you a feeling of achievement when you finally reach your goal weight.

Reduce Food Intake

If you really want to lose weight, you’re going to have to reduce your food intake too. The first step is going to be cutting out the foods that you know you don’t need. If you’re eating foods with added sugar, you’re better off skipping them. You should also try to avoid eating too much red meat as it tends to spike your insulin levels. Instead, focus on eating more vegetables and fruits. These are going to help you maintain healthy blood sugar levels which will, in turn, help you maintain a healthy weight.

We all want to be thin and happy. Many of us are under the impression that drinking a glass of wine every night or having a burger and fries once a week is going to make us look and feel better. While it might, it might not. The key to weight loss is realizing that there’s more to it than meets the eye and finding out what that is.
