Day 1

The start of your smoothie journey, my friend, is very close to my heart. I was never really a fan of traditional diets, and I think a lot of my eating disorder issues stemmed from my dissatisfaction with how restrictive they were. I would get so frustrated at not being able to eat what I wanted because it was ‘off-limits’ for the day. When I finally did eat something that I wanted, I felt terrible because I had to restrict myself again the next day. It was a vicious cycle that I didn’t want to be a part of.

So when it came time to write my book, I made it my mission to create a diet that didn’t sound like a death sentence. I wanted to give people the tools to feel empowered and confident enough to enjoy their food without guilt, and I think you’re about to find out why I loved day one so much.

Day 2

The second day of your new diet is going to be the hardest because it requires a complete overhaul of how you’ve been eating. But I promise you that it’s going to be worth it (and no, I’m not lying).

You’re going to want to replace all of the foods that are on the ‘off-limit’ list with healthier alternatives. For example, you’re going to want to swap your regular fried foods for baked goods and opt for seasonal fruits instead of frozen ones. Eating healthier will help you achieve your best possible figure, and that’s what’s most important to you.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll find that there are certain foods that you just can’t live without. When you learn to eat healthier, you have to replace those foods with alternatives that you enjoy more. That’s going to be the key to sticking to this new way of eating. If you find that a food is helping you achieve your best body, it stands to reason that it’s probably good for you and that you should be eating more of it. Don’t be afraid to indulge in some of your favorite foods as long as they fit into the healthy eating scheme. You’ll be amazed at how creative you can be with recipes when you have plenty of healthy options to choose from.

Day 3

The third day of your smoothie journey is going to be all about getting into the right mental state, so that you can continue losing weight successfully. This is going to be quite the mental exercise because, as I’ve mentioned, day two was quite the challenge. Everything is new, and that’s often the trick when you’re trying to change a habit that’s been with you for years. It takes time to get into the right mental state where you can enjoy your food and look at it as a source of enjoyment instead of deprivation. The better you get at accepting this new way of eating, the easier it will be to continue on your journey to better health and great shape.

Day 4

The fourth day of your smoothie journey is going to be all about taking it easy. It’s going to be quite the opposite of what you’ve been doing all week, and that’s probably why you’re going to enjoy this day significantly more than the previous three. You will start by slowly rising from your bed, taking it easy while your body gets back on track. After that, it’s all about taking it easy. Make some calls, catch up on some TV shows, and just chillax.

This day is going to be all about relaxing, enjoying life, and being able to look at food as a form of enjoyment instead of deprivation. A good day is going to make all the difference, and with just a little bit of effort, you can ensure that this is going to be a great day.

Day 5

The fifth day of your smoothie journey is all about sticking to the plan, and that means cooking your food without deviation. I really want you to succeed, so I’m not going to lie and say that this is easy advice. However, if you do everything else on this diet correctly, it’s going to be very easy to continue losing weight and looking great.

The key to this day is going to be following the plan exactly as it’s laid out. There are no shortcuts, no half measures, and definitely no deviating from the rules once you’ve established them. By doing everything in its entirety, you’re going to be able to shed off those extra pounds and bring your body into perfect shape.

Day 6

The sixth day of your smoothie journey is going to be all about adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet. This is quite an easily achievable goal, as long as you keep in mind the ‘no sugar’ rule. If you want to add more fruits and vegetables to your diet, all you need to do is increase your daily intake. It’s important to note that this isn’t something that you’re going to want to do just to lose weight, as many fruits and vegetables contain plenty of vitamins and minerals that are essential for human health. Add more of these foods to your diet, and you’re going to feel a whole lot better.

Day 7

Finally, the last day of your smoothie journey is all about taking it easy and enjoying life how you want to. It’s important to note that this is the day when you’re going to be starting to see the benefits of following this diet. Not only will you start to feel a whole lot better, but you’ll also start to see the results of your hard work. These last few days are going to be all about enjoying the process as much as the results.

You’re going to need to be putting in the hours, but once the initial hunger pangs have subsided, it’s going to be all worth it. When you get to this point, it’s very easy to continue losing weight and looking great. You’ll find that this is a diet that you can follow for the rest of your life, and that’s what’s so special about it.
