How Fast Do You Lose Muscle Weight?

So you have decided to start a weight loss journey. Congrats! A lot of people decide to go the whole hog and actually commit to changing their lives for the better, and that’s a fantastic decision. Nothing wrong with being pig-headed and sticking to your principles. I admire your guts. You are aware of the fact that you have a significant amount of fat (probably more than you’d like) and you have decided to take matters into your own hands. Bravo!

Now the question is: How fast do you lose weight?

The truth is that it depends on you. There is no exact science to weight loss as there is to most other things in life. You have to find your own way and you have to be willing to commit to the process. That is what makes it exciting. Unfortunately, it can also make it frustrating because you cannot know how it is going to turn out. So, for that reason, I have written this article to hopefully help you on your way and to give you some answers to the questions you will inevitably ask yourself. Let’s get into it.

Is Losing Weight Hard?

Well, obviously it is going to depend on you and what you define as “hard”. If you want to lose weight “hard” then you have to make some changes. First of all, I would say that diets do not work for everyone. Diets are designed to deprive your body of nutrients, which in turn makes you lose weight. However, this is not always the case. Some people may experience phenomenal effects from eating the right foods and using nutrition as a weapon against fat. So, it all depends on you. You have to find what works best for you and your body. Remember: you are the expert of your own body. No one else is. No one knows but you.

How Long Does It Take To Lose Weight?

This one is pretty straightforward. Basically, it takes time. It takes time to break old habits and for your body to adjust to the new way of living. For some people, it happens pretty quickly. They wake up one day and decide that enough is enough and they want to make changes. For others it takes more time. They may have to hit rock bottom before they can realize what is possible. So, it is a matter of finding out what works best for you. Are you willing to make changes and are you willing to lose weight? If so, then you should expect to spend at least six months, maybe even a year, in active weight loss.

How Much Weight Can You Lose?

As much weight as you want to lose. There is no limit. If you are driven by set goals, such as trying to lose a certain amount of weight by a certain date, then you have to be willing to go above and beyond what the average person would do. You are the only one who can control how much you eat, how much you exercise and how much you weigh. So, there is no reason to hold back. You can lose as much weight as you want. The only question is: will you allow yourself to?

How Long Does It Take To Gain Back The Weight?

This one is also pretty straightforward. Once you reach your goal weight, it usually takes a while for your body to go back to its previous state. Some people are able to bounce back immediately, while others may need to eat a little bit more than they normally do, or start an exercise routine, to get back to their pre-pregnancy or pre-surgery weight. So, as you can see, it takes time. It takes time for your body to get back in good shape and it depends on you, how fast you want it to happen. Once you reach your goal weight, it is all about maintaining it and continuing to lose weight steadily. Maintaining a healthy weight is a lot easier said than done, but it is a worthwhile endeavor. You are never going to stop losing weight once you have started. It is all about taking it one day at a time and being persistent. Even when you feel like you cannot lose any more weight, you can always find ways to lose a bit more. Just continue searching for answers and don’t give up. You are a lot closer to your goal than you think. You just need to keep working at it. Before you know it, you will be fitting into your old clothes and recalling those early morning gym sessions with a smile on your face. So, until next time, keep moving forward and never give up. Be strong and be proud. You can do this.
