You’re on your way home from a hard day at work, and you spot a handsome guy waiting at the bus stop. You’re attracted to him, so you decide to stop and talk to him. After all, what’s a girl to do?
You start off by asking if he’s ok. Then, you notice that he’s rather skinny. You say that you’re on your way to a diet doctor because you’re always craving rich, unhealthy foods. You joke about how you want to lose 10 pounds before your 30th birthday. Without skipping a beat, the charming stranger replies:
“I’ve got just the thing for that! But first, let me ask you a question. Have you ever tried Zoloft? My friend swears by it, and it’s helped her lose a lot of weight.”
You’re taken aback by the sudden change in conversation. But before you can reply, the guy continues:
“You see, I have an ex-wife and five kids. All teenagers, and the youngest one just turned 21. We were supposed to go for a family vacation last month, but my wife got sick and had to cancel the trip. We weren’t even going to miss it though because my friend’s daughter had just gotten accepted to college, and my friend wanted to celebrate. So she gave me a bottle of wine and some sleeping pills to help me get through the long journey. I ended up drinking the whole bottle and taking the pills, and the next thing I knew, it was morning. When I woke up, I found myself in a strange room surrounded by unfamiliar people. I didn’t know where I was, or what had happened. All I knew was that I had to get out of there as soon as possible, or things might get ugly. My eyes started searching for a way out, and then I saw the closet. There was a door made of steel, with a shiny knob. When I turned it, the room started spinning, and I fell to the ground. That’s when everything went black.”
“I woke up in a hospital with tubes down my nose and IVs stuck in my arm. One of the doctors told my wife and kids that if I wanted to, I could walk again. I never took the pills or drank the wine. But you know what? It was all worth it. Just to be able to take my family on that vacation. If I hadn’t have taken the pills and drunk the wine, I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy myself, and neither would they. So, as much as I would like to lose the weight and go on a diet, I’m not willing to give up too much of what I need to keep living my life the way I want. Thanks to the folks at Zoloft, I’m able to enjoy my family and friends without too much worry about my health. Does Zoloft help you lose weight? I think it’s safe to say that it helps me enjoy what I eat, without having to deal with the consequences too much. So if you’re looking to lose weight, I’d say give it a try. You might just find that it helps you achieve your goal more quickly than you think.”
