Since the release of the new Star Trek film, people have been asking me about my fitness goals and whether I managed to keep off the weight I gained while filming. So, I figured I’d finally address those questions and give you some tips on how to do the same. You no longer have to choose between being fit and having fun with your friends and family! You can still keep up your social activities while losing the extra weight!
How Did You Fare On Set?
With any TV show or film shoot, you’re going to gain a little weight! It’s unavoidable. They don’t let you eat salads on set and you have to be willing to sacrifice some of your favorite foods if you want to stay fit. While you’re on set, the food is good and the portions are huge. You’ll be surprised at how much food you end up eating, especially compared to how little you actually need to sustain your body. You’ll also feel energized and refreshed by the daily workouts, which is great for the overall production. It’s definitely not what you’d expect from the food stylists and makeup artists who work on set! Sometimes, you’ll even feel like shedding a few pounds just to fit into the clothes that the costume department provides you with. So, while it’s great that the new Star Trek film gave me a chance to be in a movie, I gained a lot of weight while filming it.
Is It Still Possible To Lose Weight After The Film Is Over?
Yes! It’s still possible to lose weight after the film is over. At least, you’ll still have two more films to work with, right? One of the best things that could possibly happen to you is that you get offered a part in a TV show or movie. That’s undoubtedly the best way to lose weight. So, whenever you get a chance, try and find something that you can do in your free time to continue shedding those pounds. There are a lot of people who managed to keep off the weight they gained while playing a part in Game of Thrones. And it wasn’t just the physical transformations that they made–they also altered their eating habits and began to exercise more. It’s still possible for you to do the same.
What About Drinks?
Inevitably, your first thought when you hear about losing weight is: Will I be able to drink alcohol? It is possible to lose weight and drink alcohol. It’s actually quite common for people to drink while on a diet or exercise plan. It’s quite an easy way to get the nutrients your body needs while not being heavy. So, if you want to try it, go right ahead–just make sure that you’re not doing it to avoid upsetting your doctor. It’s always best to consult with your doctor before you start drinking during the day, especially if you’re on a diet. But, for some people, alcohol is the best way to get their daily calories. So, if that’s the case for you, feel free to enjoy a drink or two (or three or four). Just make sure that you don’t eat anything afterwards (the booze may have been the only thing your stomach could handle at that point).
